Beijing Fengtai: An average of one technology company is born every eight minutes.

This year, Fengtai District has achieved outstanding results: in the first half of the year, the regional GDP reached 121.42 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1% year-on-year; fixed asset investment completed 49 billion yuan, an increase of 14.2% year-on-year. Through the expansion of high-tech enterprises, Fengtai District now has 3,710 national high-tech enterprises, ranking second in the city, with 72 national-level specialized and new "unicorn" enterprises, as well as 17 unicorn and potential unicorn enterprises. Through the foundation-building action for technology enterprises, Fengtai District has established over 28,500 new businesses from January to August, a year-on-year increase of 136%, ranking first in the city in terms of growth rate. The increase in technology-based enterprises accounts for 14% of the city's total, with an average of one new technology enterprise being born every 8 minutes.
