A survey conducted by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research shows that nearly one-third of respondents believe they may be secretly implanted with a microchip without their knowledge. In 2020, the percentage of respondents holding this view was 41%. Data shows that 81% of Generation Z respondents believe such a threat is "unlikely or impossible." This proportion is lowest among respondents born between 1968 and 1981, at 59%. Respondents list fear of personal control and potential health risks as the main concerns related to human implantation of microchips. In addition, the vast majority of respondents have some knowledge about neural technology and brain implant chips.
