On September 16th, stocks related to liquid cooling concept were strong, with Chunzhong Technology, Yinlun Shares, and Longpan Technology hitting the limit up, and Runhe Materials rising over 14%, while Zhongshi Technology, Jiangsu Laili, and Zhongke Shuguang followed the uptrend. On the news front, NVIDIA is pushing upstream suppliers to develop a type of water-cooled heat dissipation component called the microchannel water-cooled plate to cope with the increasing heat generation of AI GPU chips with each generation change, with a unit price three to five times that of existing heat dissipation solutions. It is reported that the unit price of MLCP can reach three to five times that of traditional water-cooled plates and can contribute to higher gross profit margins. However, due to its complexity in fluid mechanics, bubble dynamics, and higher risk of coolant leakage, it will take some time to mature. According to a research report from Zhongjin Securities, the continuous updates and iterations of AI large models and the landing of applications are driving the increase in computing power demand, with chip power consumption and computing power density continuously rising. Liquid cooling, with advantages in heat dissipation efficiency and deployment density, is accelerating the replacement of air cooling gradually becoming the mainstream solution. It is expected that the global AI liquid cooling market will reach $8.6 billion by 2026, achieving a rapid increase in market size; cold plate liquid cooling is expected to be the first to be implemented on a large scale.
