Rivian holds groundbreaking ceremony for Georgia factory. The company says the new factory represents a multi-billion dollar investment and is expected to create 7500 jobs by 2030. Customer vehicle production is expected to start in 2028, with plans to manufacture mid-sized, five-seat R2 SUVs and R3 crossovers. Once the second phase of construction is completed, the factory is expected to produce 400,000 vehicles per year.
