Toyota announced on September 15 that it has released an all-electric vehicle, the e-Palette, designed for use in mobile stores and other applications. The company aims to equip the e-Palette with Level 4 autonomous driving technology that can operate without a human driver under certain conditions by around 2027. In the meantime, the vehicle will be operated with a driver who will handle some of the operations. Toyota envisions the e-Palette being widely used for selling goods at events and for transporting people, with expectations that businesses and local governments will purchase them (source: Interface News).
