According to the information obtained from the Huanqiu Financial APP, on September 16th, the latest labor force statistics released by the Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department for the period of June to August 2025 (temporary figures), the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the period of June to August 2025 was 3.7%, the same as the figure for the period of May to July 2025. The underemployment rate increased from 1.4% in the period of May to July 2025 to 1.6% in the period of June to August 2025.
