According to Meituan data, the average monthly income of high-frequency delivery riders nationwide in the first half of 2025 is between 6949 and 10201 yuan. For example, in tier-one cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, the monthly income of the "LePao" group of skilled riders can reach 12826 yuan. Since the second quarter, facing high temperatures and peak orders, the average monthly income of high-frequency delivery riders in various tier-one cities has increased by over 20% year-on-year. In terms of welfare, starting from July 1st, the "Occupational Injury Protection for New Forms of Employment Personnel" (delivery rider work injury insurance) has expanded to 17 provinces and cities, with Meituan paying per order, ensuring coverage for each order and each individual. Since the pilot program in 2022, Meituan has already paid out over 1.5 billion yuan by the first half of this year (First Financial).
