According to the Securities Times APP, on September 16th, the State Council Information Office held a series of thematic press conferences on "high-quality completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan". Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Han Jun introduced the achievements of agricultural and rural development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and answered questions from journalists. Han Jun pointed out that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the development of agriculture and rural areas has been stable and making progress, and moving towards stability and improvement. By 2024, the national grain output exceeded 1.4 trillion catties for the first time, an increase of 74 billion catties from 2020. Currently, the per capita grain possession has reached 500 kilograms, achieving basic self-sufficiency in grains and absolute food security. The national food security is fully guaranteed.
