The US Court of Appeals ruled that Trump cannot fire Fed Governor Kern before the Fed meeting.
The US Court of Appeals has blocked President Trump from firing Federal Reserve Board member Lael Brainard, with her lawsuit challenging the dismissal still ongoing. A Washington appeals court ruled on Monday that Brainard can temporarily continue working. This decision means she may be able to attend the highly anticipated Federal Reserve meeting on September 16-17 to vote on interest rate cuts. Trump is expected to request intervention from the Supreme Court.
