The Ethereum Foundation announced the establishment of a new research team focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) aimed at combining the anti-censorship capabilities of blockchain with one of the most popular technological fields. The foundation's research scientist, Davide Crapis, stated that the new team will focus on developing an AI economy on Ethereum and developing decentralized AI stacks for developers. "Ethereum makes AI more trustworthy and AI makes Ethereum more useful," Crapis said. "As intelligent agent transactions increase, they will need a neutral underlying layer to realize value and reputation. Ethereum benefits from becoming this layer, and AI benefits from breaking free from dependence on a few centralized platforms." The Ethereum Foundation is staffing up its newly established dAI team and is looking for an AI researcher and a project manager to drive coordination.
