The Ethereum Foundation announced the establishment of a new research team focused on artificial intelligence, aiming to combine the censorship-resistant capabilities of blockchain with one of the hottest fields in technology. The foundation's research scientist, Davide Crapis, stated that the new team will focus on developing an artificial intelligence economy on Ethereum, and will create a decentralized artificial intelligence stack for developers. "Ethereum makes artificial intelligence more trustworthy, and artificial intelligence makes Ethereum more useful," Crapis said. "The more intelligent agent transactions there are, the more they need a neutral base layer to achieve value and reputation. Ethereum benefits from becoming this layer, and artificial intelligence benefits from breaking free from being locked into a few centralized platforms." The Ethereum Foundation is currently staffing its newly established dAI team and is looking for an AI researcher and a project manager to drive coordination.
