According to the Securities Times APP, on September 15, the China Iron and Steel Association issued a document stating that according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in August 2025, China's crude steel production was 77.37 million tons, a decrease of 0.7% year-on-year; pig iron production was 69.79 million tons, an increase of 1.0% year-on-year; and steel production was 122.77 million tons, an increase of 9.7% year-on-year. From January to August, China's crude steel production was 671.81 million tons, a decrease of 2.8% year-on-year; pig iron production was 579.07 million tons, a decrease of 1.1% year-on-year; and steel production was 982.17 million tons, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year.
