Air China announced that in August 2025, the group's passenger traffic volume (measured by revenue passenger kilometers) increased compared to the previous year. Passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers) increased by 2.3% year-on-year, while passenger traffic volume increased by 3.2%. Freight capacity (measured by available freight ton kilometers) increased by 1.5% year-on-year, and air mail traffic volume (measured by revenue freight ton kilometers) increased by 10.2%. The freight load factor was 42.1%, an increase of 3.3 percentage points compared to the previous year. As of the end of August 2025, the group operated a total of 941 aircraft.
