This year, Indonesia will introduce a new economic stimulus plan worth 16 trillion Indonesian rupiah.
Indonesian Minister of Economic Coordination, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that the government plans to implement eight economic stimulus packages this year, including tax incentives, food aid, and internship programs for graduates. The government will allocate 70 trillion Indonesian Rupiah to distribute rice aid in October and November, targeting to benefit 18 million recipients. Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa also mentioned in the same press conference that by optimizing government expenditures, the stimulus package will not significantly increase the budget deficit.
