Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian presided over the regular press conference on September 15th. According to reports, since August of this year, the United States has deployed warships, nuclear submarines, and other military forces in the Caribbean near Venezuela under the pretext of combating drug trafficking groups in Latin America. Recently, Venezuela announced that a US destroyer illegally intercepted, boarded, and detained a Venezuelan fishing vessel in the exclusive economic zone of Venezuela. Lin Jian stated that the actions of the United States threaten regional peace and security, seriously violate the sovereignty and security of other countries, and seriously violate international law. China has always supported the strengthening of international cooperation to combat transnational crime, opposes the unilateral use of force, opposes external interference in Venezuela's internal affairs, and urges the United States not to harm the navigation safety of all countries and the freedom and rights enjoyed under international law in the name of combating drug trafficking, affecting regional peace and stability.
