National Bureau of Statistics: Rapid development of artificial intelligence applications, smart products are welcomed by the market, enhancing the price-driving effect.

Fu Linghui, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on September 15 that in August, the prices of integrated circuit packaging and testing manufacturing increased by 1.1% year-on-year, while the prices of ship and related equipment manufacturing increased by 0.9%. The rapid development of artificial intelligence applications and the market's favor for intelligent products have strengthened their role in driving prices. In August, the manufacturing price of wearable smart devices increased by 1.6% year-on-year. Since the beginning of this year, the Consumer Promotion Special Action has been deeply implemented, promoting the exchange of old for new consumer goods, stimulating consumption potential, expanding demand for upgraded goods, and causing a year-on-year increase in factory prices in some industries. In August, the prices of arts and crafts as well as ceremonial supplies manufacturing increased by 13%, sports balls manufacturing by 4.7%, special sports equipment and accessories manufacturing by 0.4%, and the prices of nutritional food manufacturing and health food manufacturing increased by 0.9% and 0.3% respectively. In the next phase, we need to further expand domestic demand, deepen the construction of a unified national large market, regulate the competition order of enterprises, and promote a reasonable rebound in industrial product prices.
