Fu Linghui, the spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics, introduced at the State Council Information Office press conference on the 15th that the special action to boost consumption is being implemented in depth, with residents' summer travel and cultural tourism consumption on the rise, and the demand for high-quality social services expanding, which is driving up service prices. In August, service prices rose by 0.6% year-on-year, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, affecting the year-on-year increase in CPI by about 0.23 percentage points. Since the beginning of this year, service prices have shown an overall stable and rising trend. Among them, medical service prices and education service prices rose by 1.6% and 1.2% respectively year-on-year, while transportation rental fees and tourism prices rose by 0.8% and 0.7% respectively, with both increases expanding.
