National Bureau of Statistics interpretation: The year-on-year decrease in the sales prices of commercial residential buildings in various first-tier cities in August continued to narrow overall.

According to the Wisdom Financial News APP, on September 15, Wang Zhonghua, the chief statistician of the urban department of the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the statistical data on the change in prices of new residential properties in August 2025. In August, the sales prices of new residential properties in first-tier cities fell by 0.1% compared to the previous month, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, Shanghai rose by 0.4%, while Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen fell by 0.4%, 0.2%, and 0.4% respectively. The sales prices of new residential properties in second-tier cities fell by 0.3% compared to the previous month, narrowing by 0.1 percentage point. The sales prices of new residential properties in third-tier cities fell by 0.4% compared to the previous month, with the decrease widening by 0.1 percentage point.
