The National Internet Information Office issues "National Network Security Incident Report Management Measures".
Recently, the Cyberspace Administration of China released the "Regulations on the Management of National Network Security Incident Reporting," which will be implemented starting from November 1, 2025. The regulations consist of fourteen articles, mainly specifying requirements for the scope of application, regulatory responsibilities, reporting entities, reporting procedures, reporting deadlines, and reporting content of network security incidents. A relevant official from the Cyberspace Administration of China pointed out that in order to standardize the management of network security incident reporting, timely control the losses and harms caused by network security incidents, and implement laws and regulations such as the "Cybersecurity Law" and the "Regulations on the Security Protection of Critical Information Infrastructure," the Cyberspace Administration of China has formulated the "Regulations on the Management of National Network Security Incident Reporting," further standardizing and clarifying the reporting procedures and requirements for network security incidents. Currently, the cyberspace administration has launched six channels for reporting network security incidents, including the 12387 network security incident reporting hotline, official website, WeChat public account, WeChat mini program, email, and fax. Network operators, social organizations, and individuals can report network security incidents to the cyberspace administration through the above-mentioned channels.
