According to The Wall Street Journal, UnitedHealth Group has sought a meeting with President Trump, but the meeting arrangements have not yet been determined. As the largest health insurance company in the United States, UnitedHealth Group is currently facing multiple regulatory challenges and seeking a meeting is one of its efforts to strengthen lobbying efforts in Washington D.C. The company is currently dealing with high-cost pressures and federal investigations, including a criminal investigation into its Medicare billing practices - as a result of these factors, the company's stock price has dropped by about 30% this year. Stephen Hemsley returned to the position of CEO in May and promised to regain investor trust. A White House official revealed that Hemsley recently met with Trump's Chief of Staff, Susie, but the CEO did not mention or discuss the criminal investigation.
