Khartoum News: The Sudanese government issued a statement on the 14th saying that important civilian facilities in the central White Nile State of the country were attacked by Sudanese Rapid Support Forces drones that day. The Sudanese Sovereign Council stated in the declaration that at dawn local time, the Rapid Support Forces used drones to destroy a power station, a fuel depot, and the civil airport in White Nile State of Kena-na. The attack on civilian infrastructure by the Rapid Support Forces constitutes "war crimes and crimes against humanity." The statement did not mention casualties caused by the attack. A military source in White Nile State told Xinhua reporters on the 14th that civilian facilities in three cities in the state were targeted by Sudanese Rapid Support Forces drones. Sudanese military air defenses successfully intercepted multiple drones. The Sudanese Rapid Support Forces have not responded to the attack. On April 15, 2023, armed clashes broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in the capital Khartoum, spreading to other areas afterwards. The armed conflict, which has lasted for more than two years, has led to nearly 30,000 deaths and over 12 million people displaced.
