The first Confucius Institute Alliance in Latin America was established in Brazil.

The Alliance of Confucius Institutes in Brazil, composed of 14 Confucius Institutes in Brazil, was officially established at the Confucius Institute of So Paulo State University. On the local time 12th, representatives from 14 Confucius Institutes in Brazil and leaders from 11 Brazilian partner institutions jointly witnessed the establishment of the Alliance. This is the first Confucius Institute Alliance in Latin America, and the first chairman of the Alliance will be Paulo, the Brazilian director of the Confucius Institute at So Paulo State University.
