China Merchants Bank has stated that they have worked with Mastercard to promptly activate their emergency response mechanism to "detect and block risks in a timely manner" and have vowed to prevent customers from bearing any "losses that they should not bear" by fully protecting customers' legal rights. On the same day, Mastercard also announced that they have detected unauthorized transactions on some Mastercard cards in China recently. Mastercard and issuing banks have established a special task force to trace the source of risks, block potential risks, and ensure the protection of customers' funds to prevent any harm to customers' interests.
