Recently, XiBei Restaurant has been embroiled in a controversy over pre-made dishes. On September 12th and 13th, many media reporters visited the kitchens of XiBei stores in several cities in China to live stream the process of making their dishes, exposing some problems with the dishes. On September 14th, there were reports that XiBei stores have temporarily suspended kitchen visits. Around 3 pm on the 14th, a customer service representative from XiBei confirmed to @Extreme News that in order to ensure the normal operation of the kitchen, the company had issued a notice on the 14th at noon, suspending kitchen visits to all stores nationwide. Currently, customers and media reporters are temporarily unable to enter the kitchen of the stores for visits, filming, or live streaming. Some customers have complained to the company that filming and live streaming in the store infringed on their portrait rights and affected their dining experience, which is also a reason for suspending kitchen visits. However, customers can still watch chefs cook from outside the kitchen. The customer service representative mentioned that the company has informed some stores to remove the XiBei "Luo Yonghao" set meal that was previously launched. However, customers can still order some dishes from the set meal. An employee at a XiBei store in the Yanta District of Xi'an mentioned that the store had received a notice from the company to suspend kitchen visits. They have not introduced the "Luo Yonghao" set meal these past few days and currently cannot provide that set meal. An employee at a XiBei store in the Zhongyuan District of Zhengzhou stated that based on the company's latest notice, they have temporarily suspended kitchen visits on weekends, out of concern for other people affecting the preparation and serving of dishes in the kitchen. Media reporters can inquire with the store on weekdays to see if they can visit the kitchen for filming and live streaming, but they will need to have a health certificate to enter the kitchen. Currently, this store also cannot provide the "Luo Yonghao" set meal.
