Breaking records: the largest offshore floating liquefied natural gas facility independently developed and constructed in China has been delivered.
On September 14th, under the protection of the Nantong Maritime Safety Administration, China's independently developed and constructed largest tonnage and largest gas storage capacity new offshore floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility successfully departed from Nantong and was delivered. The "NGUYA FLNG" facility is 376 meters long, 60 meters wide, and 35 meters deep, with LNG storage capacity of 180,000 cubic meters and LPG storage capacity of 45,000 cubic meters; the annual LNG production capacity reaches 2.4 million tons. This facility will be deployed to operate in the waters of the Republic of the Congo in Africa, marking a breakthrough for China in the high value-added offshore engineering equipment manufacturing sector.
