Reporters learned from the Optics Valley Sensor Industry Innovation and Development Exchange Meeting that the current scale of the sensor industry in Hubei Province has reached 26 billion yuan, with Wuhan alone exceeding 20 billion yuan. It has initially formed a relatively complete industrial chain covering design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, system integration, and application services. In the next step, Hubei will focus on the development direction of smart sensors, issue an implementation plan for the innovation and development of the MEMS industry, promote the implementation of five major actions including leading scientific and technological innovation, upgrading the industrial chain, improving the quality level, empowering scenarios, and coordinating ecology, and make every effort to build a leading national source of MEMS technology innovation and a characteristic industrial highland of smart sensors.
