Amazon (AMZN.US) is evaluating electric delivery van options excluding Rivian (RIVN.US), with General Motors' BrightDrop testing now underway.

According to the Securities and Exchange Commission APP, Amazon (AMZN.US) has launched Chevrolet BrightDrop electric trucks as part of its delivery fleet testing. Once the testing news was released, Rivian (RIVN.US) stock prices immediately came under pressure. The e-commerce giant confirmed that as part of its "By 2030, put 100,000 electric trucks on the road" plan, the company is evaluating other supplier options in addition to its existing Rivian delivery trucks. This means that Amazon may be seeking supply chain diversification rather than relying solely on Rivian.
