Chen Xianzhong, former member of the Party Committee of the Nanchang Natural Resources and Planning Bureau and former director of the Nanchang Land Reserve Center, has been expelled from the party.

On September 13, according to the Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, the Discipline Inspection Commission of Nanchang City conducted a disciplinary investigation into Chen Xianzhong, former member of the Party Group of the Nanchang City Natural Resources and Planning Bureau and former director of the City Land Reserve Center. It was found that Chen Xianzhong, as a party member and leading cadre, had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original aspirations and missions, was disloyal and dishonest to the party, colluded with others, transferred and concealed evidence, obstructed organizational inspection; disregarded the spirit of the Eight-point Regulation of the central government, accepted gifts in violation of rules; violated organizational principles, sought benefits for others in the recruitment of staff; breached the bottom line of integrity, obtained large returns through private loans, engaged in profit-making activities in violation of regulations, and had others pay for expenses that should have been paid by himself; pursued vulgar interests; engaged in power-for-money transactions, used the convenience of his position, authority, or status to seek benefits for others in project contracting, and illegally accepted huge amounts of money and goods. Chen Xianzhong seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and life discipline, constituted serious violation of duty and suspected bribery crimes, and has not converged or stopped after the 18th National Congress of the Party, with serious nature and bad influence, and should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with relevant provisions of the "Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Administrative Measures for Public Servants of the People's Republic of China" etc., after deliberation at the party group meeting of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources, it was decided to expel Chen Xianzhong from the party and dismiss him from public office, confiscate his ill-gotten gains from disciplinary violations, and transfer his suspected crimes to the procuratorate for investigation and prosecution, along with all implicated assets.
