The problem of irrational competition in the automobile industry is prominent, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will carry out in-depth assessment of industrial development planning.
On September 13, Guo Shougang, Deputy Director and Level One Inspector of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at the 2025 China Automotive Industry Development International Forum that there are still some pressing issues and challenges in the current automotive industry. Internationally, the increase in trade barriers not only affects the stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain, but also poses challenges to the international development of enterprises; domestically, there are still deficiencies in high-end intelligent computing chips and basic software. The issue of irrational competition in the industry is quite prominent, and the intelligent security system for mineral resources, power battery recycling and other aspects is still in urgent need of improvement. In response to these challenges, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will conduct in-depth assessments of the development plan of the automotive industry, clarify the development goals for the next stage, deploy key tasks, optimize security measures, and lead the industry development. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will support leading enterprises to enhance the resilience and competitiveness of the industry chain and supply chain.
