The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and seven other departments have issued the "Work Plan for Stabilizing Growth in the Automotive Industry (2025-2026)", with the main goals being: to strive to achieve a total annual car sales of around 32.3 million in 2025, with a year-on-year growth of about 3%, including a new energy vehicle sales of around 15.5 million, with a year-on-year growth of about 20%; to maintain stable growth in automobile exports; and to achieve a year-on-year growth of around 6% in the value added of the automobile manufacturing industry. In 2026, the industry is expected to maintain a stable and positive development trend, with further improvement in the scale and quality efficiency of the industry.
