On the 11th, it was learned from the New Energy Business Unit of Daqing Oilfield Company that the "green electricity" production of the oilfield has reached a new peak - the cumulative electricity generation of new energy has exceeded 2 billion kilowatt-hours, marking a solid step forward for Daqing Oilfield on the path of green development. "2 billion kilowatt-hours, from the energy perspective, is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 1.07 million households in Daqing city; from the environmental perspective, it is equivalent to reducing the combustion of 600,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.07 million tons." The head of the New Energy Business Unit of Daqing Oilfield Company introduced that the new energy generation of the oilfield is all "sourced from" the self-consumption new energy projects, and the generated "green electricity" is directly transmitted to the oilfield grid for use in oil production, water injection, and gathering systems, saving a lot of purchased electricity costs while supporting the green development of the oilfield.
