Our country's urban rail transit operating mileage exceeds 10,000 kilometers, ranking first in the world.
Journalists learned from the Ministry of Transportation that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's urban rail transit, conventional public transportation, and slow traffic networks will be integrated and developed. Currently, a total of 54 cities in the country have opened 331 urban rail transit lines with a total operating mileage of approximately 11,000 kilometers, ranking first in the world. As of the end of last year, there were 658,000 urban public electric buses in the country, with over 80% being new energy buses. The total length of urban public transportation operating routes reached 1.75 million kilometers. The operating mileage of urban rail transit and the proportion of urban new energy buses have already surpassed the targets set in the "14th Five-Year Plan" ahead of schedule last year.
