Minister of Finance Liao Feng'an stated at the press conference on "high-quality completion of the '14th Five-Year Plan'" held by the State Council Information Office on September 12 that by the end of 2024, the total government debt of China will be 92.6 trillion yuan, including 34.6 trillion yuan of national debt, 47.5 trillion yuan of local government statutory debt, and 10.5 trillion yuan of local government implicit debt, with a government debt ratio of 68.7%. At the same time, the government debt of China corresponds to a large amount of high-quality assets. Overall, the government debt ratio of China is in a reasonable range, with risks under control.
