Spain closes many public parks and attractions due to bird flu outbreak.
Due to outbreaks of avian flu in many areas, the southern region of Andalusia in Spain has temporarily closed many parks and other attractions, including two sites listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, where culling of affected animals is being carried out. According to Agence France-Presse, the Seville City Council announced on social media on the 11th that the Maria Luisa Park in the city center was closed due to the discovery of dead birds. The park will clean up the dead animals and disinfect the area. The city has also recently closed three other parks where dead birds were found, including another World Heritage site.
