At today's press conference, the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Public Security stated that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the national public security organs firmly grasp the requirements of strict, standardized, fair and civilized law enforcement, deepen the construction of standardized law enforcement, and strive to make the people feel fairness and justice in every case handling and every matter. In response to new issues affecting the public's sense of security, 23 laws including the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law", the "Anti-Telecom Network Fraud Law", and the "Regulations on the Management of Public Safety Video Image Information System" have been promulgated or revised, as well as 19 administrative regulations. In order to combat transnational gambling, "hooliganism", online violence and other illegal crimes, a series of law enforcement guidance opinions have been issued in collaboration with the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, among other units, to help sustain the positive trend in social security. Yang Weilin, vice minister of the Ministry of Public Security, stated that law enforcement supervision and management has become more stringent. Work on receiving and registering cases has been standardized, the establishment of case reporting centers has been promoted, and efforts have been made to address difficulties in filing cases. From reporting at the scene to investigating and interrogating throughout the whole process of handling cases, video and audio recording and information supervision are implemented, allowing police officers to handle cases in front of cameras and enforce the law in the sunlight. The unified review and unified export system of criminal cases by the judicial departments has been fully implemented, and the quality of case handling has steadily improved. A special action to regulate law enforcement involving enterprises has been extensively carried out, correcting 49,000 prominent problems in criminal law enforcement by now, helping to create a legal and business-friendly environment.
