The US dollar index fell by about 0.3% on the day the US CPI inflation data was released.

On Thursday, the New York session saw the ICE US Dollar Index fall by 0.28% to 97.517 points. The Asia-Pacific session began with narrow and slight fluctuations to the upside. At 20:30 Beijing time, the index rose to 98.087 points, hitting a daily high, before falling back. By 23:24, it hit a daily low of 97.473 points. The Bloomberg Dollar Index dropped by 0.28% to 1197.57 points, with a trading range for the day between 1204.08 and 1197.35 points.
