President Trump has requested the Federal Appeals Court to immediately suspend a lower court's ruling that blocked him from dismissing Federal Reserve Board member Lisa Cook. This is the latest sign that the government hopes to quickly bring the case to the Supreme Court for review. The Justice Department on Thursday asked a panel of three judges in Washington to issue a so-called "stay order," which is likely to allow Trump's decision to remove Cook to take effect before the appeal is formally heard. The Trump administration has requested the Appeals Court to make a ruling by Monday.
