During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center made multiple efforts in construction, and achieved significant results.
This year is the closing year of the "14th Five-Year Plan". Over the past five years, Beijing has accelerated the construction of an international scientific and technological innovation center, focused on breakthroughs in frontier technology fields, and made new progress and achievements in promoting scientific and technological innovation and cultivating new production forces. This year, Beijing has become the "international living room" for humanoid robots, hosting the world's first humanoid robot half marathon and the first humanoid robot games, attracting participants from 16 countries around the world. Since the "14th Five-Year Plan", Beijing has continued to promote the innovation and development of robotics, establishing a billion-level robotics industry development fund, setting up multiple humanoid robot innovation and research institutions, and actively building a sound public service system. Li Yechuan, director of the Intelligent Manufacturing and Equipment Industry Department of the Beijing Economic and Information Bureau, stated that by 2024, the total revenue of Beijing's robotics industry will exceed 30 billion RMB, with a year-on-year growth of over 50%. Beijing has also made continuous breakthroughs in innovation in key frontier areas: in the first half of the year, a satellite with the function of direct connection to mobile broadband was successfully launched, with over 300 commercial aerospace companies in the city forming a complete industry chain of manufacturing, delivery, and services, and the initial formation of the "Southern Arrow, Northern Star" pattern.
