The Ministry of Transportation conducted a secret investigation into the operation of passenger ferries on inland rivers and found that some companies had insufficient implementation of safety management measures.
Recently, the Maritime Bureau of the Ministry of Transport has continued to organize nationwide undercover inspections of passenger ferry operations on inland rivers. They sent undercover teams to Inner Mongolia, Shandong, and Gansu provinces, covering a total of 16 cities, to conduct undercover inspections of 46 passenger ferry companies and their docking points. It was found that some companies did not fully implement their main responsibilities for safety production, and their safety management measures were not effectively implemented, highlighting issues with the transmission of pressure within some industry regulatory departments.
