Recently, the jewelry brand Popop under Pop Mart announced the first launch of a pure gold series of products, featuring the Baby Molly IP. The new series includes gold bead necklaces, pendants, gold bars, and decorations, with prices ranging from 980 to 56,800 yuan. The most expensive item is a gold decoration weighing approximately 41g, with a price exceeding 50,000 yuan. Popop staff stated that the new series is not limited edition, and prices will not fluctuate based on the price of gold. Depending on the craftsmanship, the unit price of the pure gold series products ranges mainly between 1,300-1,700 yuan per gram. Compared to the current market price and the prices of most brand names, Popop products obviously have a certain premium. Similar to traditional gold shops, Popop does not follow the traditional pricing strategy of "gold price + processing fee" for their gold products, all products are sold at a fixed price. For reference, a classic product from a traditional gold shop, the Cross Vajra, is currently priced at around 12,730 yuan for 7.6 grams, approximately 1,675 yuan per gram after a recent price increase.
