The head of the National Energy Administration met with the Minister of Environment and Energy of Portugal.

On the afternoon of September 10th, Wang Hongzhi, Director of the National Energy Administration, met with Maria das Graas Cabral, Minister of Environment and Energy of Portugal, who was visiting Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of electricity, renewable energy, charging infrastructure, and hydrogen energy. Wang Hongzhi stated that China and Portugal have conducted fruitful cooperation in the energy sector, which is an important part of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Recently, leaders of both sides reached important consensus on further consolidating and deepening Sino-Portuguese relations. The National Energy Administration is willing to work with the Portuguese Ministry of Environment and Energy to implement the consensus of the leaders of both sides, strengthen bilateral energy investments, explore diverse cooperation models, and continuously improve the level of energy cooperation between the two countries. Maria das Graas Cabral expressed that energy development and transformation are important areas of mutual concern for the two countries, and Portugal is willing to deepen cooperation in the clean energy industry between the two countries.
