According to three informed sources, the world's largest oil exporter, Saudi Aramco, has requested Asian buyers to lift more crude oil in October. Prior to this, Saudi Arabia had lowered the prices of all grades of crude oil by more than expected as the supply continued to increase. Two sources said that in order to regain market share, Saudi Aramco conducted off-site exchanges with Asian buyers during the Asia-Pacific Petrochemical Conference held in Singapore this week, urging them to increase their shipments in October. One of the sources said that this move has somewhat delayed the allocation of crude oil supply for October, which may not be completed until next week.
