On September 11th, the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released the August 2025 monthly information on power batteries. In August, China's power battery installed capacity reached 62.5GWh, a month-on-month increase of 11.9% and a year-on-year increase of 32.4%. Among them, the installed capacity of ternary batteries was 10.9GWh, accounting for 17.5% of the total installed capacity, a month-on-month decrease of 0.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 10.0%; the installed capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 51.6GWh, accounting for 82.5% of the total installed capacity, a month-on-month increase of 14.8% and a year-on-year increase of 47.3%. From January to August, China's cumulative installed capacity of power batteries reached 417.9GWh, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 43.1%.
