Hong Kong stocks closed at noon, with the Hang Seng Index falling by 0.29% and the Hang Seng Technology Index dropping by 0.09%. The Hong Kong Stock Technology ETF (159751) declined by 0.17% and the Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF (159318) dropped by 0.35%. In terms of sectors, forestry and paper products, as well as semiconductor products and equipment, showed strong gains; while biotechnology and life science tools sectors had significant losses. In terms of individual stocks, ZTE Corporation rose by 7.74%, SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation) increased by 6.05%; Hansoh Pharmaceutical fell by 9.18%, and Tasly Pharmaceutical dropped by 10.44%; iFlytek Co. Ltd. rose by 19.7%, and Fiberhome Telecommunication Technologies Co. Ltd. increased by 15.14%.
