According to the Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission, on September 1st, the National Development and Reform Commission officially approved the feasibility study report of the Yellow River Inner Mongolia section river channel governance project, marking a key progress in the preliminary work of this major water conservancy project and laying a solid foundation for the project to start construction as soon as possible. The project's governance scope extends from the mouth of the Yellow River Dusitu River to Mazha Township, Zunger Qi, with a total investment of approximately 3.3 billion yuan. It is a key project planned and implemented by the state and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, aimed at systematically enhancing the flood control and ice flood control capabilities of the Yellow River main stream in Inner Mongolia.
