BASF announced on September 10 the launch of a new GLYSANTIN ELECTRIFIED low conductivity coolant designed to enhance the safety and stability of electric vehicle battery systems. This coolant series complies with the new national standard GB 29743.2-2025, which will take effect on October 1 in China, and is designed to reduce the risk of battery safety issues, thus improving the overall safety and lifespan of the vehicle. BASF has already started production of the new low conductivity coolant at its Pudong site in Shanghai.
