Venezuelan Vice President Rodriguez said on September 8th local time that there are no drug crime groups in Venezuela, and the accusations by the United States against Venezuela are a smear campaign aimed at demonizing the legitimate government of Venezuela as a criminal regime. Rodriguez condemned the United States for using "fighting drug trafficking" as a pretext to attempt a planned armed aggression against the Venezuelan people.
