The new airport in the capital of Cambodia, Tseung Kwan International Airport, officially started operations on the 9th. The first commercial flight to land was the Guangzhou to Phnom Penh flight operated by Cambodia Airlines, which received a water gate ceremony after landing. Minister of Civil Aviation of Cambodia, Mao Havananna, and Minister of Tourism, Huha, welcomed the first batch of arriving passengers at the airport. Mao Havananna said that the opening of Tseung Kwan International Airport is a milestone in the history of civil aviation development in Cambodia. The airport is classified as a 4F level airport, capable of accommodating large aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747. Currently, the airport can handle 13 million passengers per year.
