The new airport in the capital of Cambodia is officially open for operation.

The new airport in the capital of Cambodia, Dey Chon International Airport, officially started operating on the 9th. The first commercial flight to land was a flight from Guangzhou to Phnom Penh operated by Cambodia Airlines, which received a water gate salute upon landing. The Cambodian Secretary of State for Civil Aviation Ministry, Mao Havanna, and the Minister of Tourism, Huha, welcomed the first arriving passengers at the airport. Mao Havanna said that the operation of Dey Chon International Airport is a milestone in the development of Cambodia's civil aviation, with a 4F rating allowing for the landing and takeoff of large aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747. Currently, the airport can accommodate 13 million passengers annually.
