Walmart (WMT.US) stores will soon land in South Africa, focusing on the dual driving forces of low prices and global brands.

According to Zhixun Finance and Economics APP, the US retail giant Walmart (WMT.US) plans to open its first batch of own-brand stores in South Africa soon in order to establish a more solid foothold in this market where it has been struggling to gain dominance for over a decade. The world's largest retailer said on Tuesday that these stores are already in development and will open before the end of the year, offering local consumers fresh food, home essentials, clothing, and popular technology products.
